Produced in the Gakki factory in Hamana, Japan from 1955 to 1957, the YA1 is the very first Yamaha model.
The quality of manufacturing and its aesthetics, designed by GK Design, have enabled the success of this machine nicknamed in Japanese “Akatombo” (Red Dragonfly. The red dragonfly).
This first model was never exported from Japan.
Which makes it a real rarity because 70 years later this model is very difficult to find and only in Japan.
For a collector, this is a gem.
Our collaborator Hubert Rigal discovered one in Japan a few years ago which is now in the collection of the former president of Yamaha Europe.
Recently, thanks to his Japanese sources, Hubert Rigal managed to import a second one from Japan.
This motorcycle is one of the last YA1s produced in 1957.
It is original, complete, rotating and was partially restored 68 years later.
It has its Japanese circulation document and the French customs document.
Visible and available in France (Paris).
Info and price on request.
